Recent invention in the field of disability mobility is the scooter. They have overcome the electric wheel chair which has some limitations. Although electric wheel chairs provide mobility it has some limitations attached to it. The amount of mobility provided is limited only to internal use. They do not have a higher turning radius and hence cannot be used on the roads or to move a longer distance. They allow you to go to bed, lead yourself to the bathrooms with out any one’s help, hand around in the garden and breathe in fresh air, move around the work place, college and other malls. But, you can’t go to your work place with this.
In order to allow you greater mobility and a great turning radius, disabled scoters are designed. You may feel handicapped due to the physical impairment you are suffering from. But, this should not restrict you from moving around freely and do what you want. If you have problems with walking and low control over your body, you must buy an electric scoter designed fro physically impaired.
